On Apple Rumor Reports
Do you ever get tired of blogging the same old debunkment of every wildly unlikely, off-base, and misleading Apple rumor report every time a cheap rumor site writes about them to get a bunch of pageviews so they can earn 63 cents from AdSense?
Sometimes, I do.
This is the main factor in that amongst my 1,500+ feed subscription Google Reader list, there is nary a Mac site, with the possible exception of Ars Technica, for which Apple news is only a small piece of their coverage realm.
I don’t get excited over Apple speculation hoopla — only when I can actually touch a physical product, and even then, may not be enamored with the shininess all the speculative ballyhoo heralded, far in advance.
I think this is more a media issue than an Apple issue. The informed will wait and wish and the paid will state. I just put up my wish list for Apple. And while geeky I am informed if I understand what is wanted….what the goal is.
Analysts and bankers it’s dollars and cents. Wall Street Journal to whatever. The numbers they pulled out while I sold was retarded.
So what is in the news is what sells….and Apple is the news right now for tech.
